  1. If a nuclear North Korea gets the US to focus on the defense of South Korea, where does that leave Tiawan, whsich has always been one of China’s principle objectives. I’m not sure we have the forces to defend both at this time.

  2. No, mate. To my mind this article is just a.. some kind of.. doesn’t matter. One thing I know - all nuclear wars are behind! Diplomacy. All problems of our world must be decided by this way..

  3. Sorry, Lian — Rwanda wasn’t solved by Diplomacy. Actually, as I re-read the Paris Peace Accords, Vietnam was unified by commies violating their signed agreement, not diplomacy. I advise not holding your breath about Diplo solving Darfur — though successful genocide might, meaning all the black Muslims might be ethnically cleansed. Currently I think the USA should slap a 10% trade tarrif on all Chinese imports into the US, until N. Korea gives up nukes and submits to a 6-nation inspection regime — with the prior carrots offered still on the table but no more carrots, only more stick. The Chinese tax should increase by 1% each quarter until China agrees to a strick blockade of all non-Humanitarian (food & medicine) trade.
