CBS Rips Off The Wall Street Journal

Filed under: General — site admin @ 9:04 pm

It’s on Drudge. One of Katie Couric’s producers plagirized a recent Wall St Journal essay. The producer has been fired.

No, CBS News shouldn’t steal from the Journal, but the former Tiffany Network (still reeling from its Dan Rather debacle) ought to commit the sincerest form of flattery and imitate the Journal. Okay, why imitate? CBS should simply devote twenty minutes of Couric’s newscast to discussing the Journal’s editorials and opinion pieces. What a refreshing change of pace, eh? And it would demonstrably raise the intellectual level of Couric’s mediocre performance.

From the article:

CBS would not identify the producer fired for the transgression.

Why not identify the perp? Do they fear a lawsuit? CBS’ Washington bureau expects the White House to answer questions about sneaky, truth-challenged assistants.
